There are three types of giveaways that can be hosted with Giveaway bot.

Traditional Giveaway

Over the course of your set duration, users will be able to enter the giveaway by reacting to a message with the emoji you specify. After the time is up, the winners are drawn.

First Come, First Serve*

The first x people to react have a 100% chance of winning the giveaway.

Limited Entries*

The winners will be drawn when the maximum allowed amount of entries are reached or the duration runs down, whichever comes first.

*these types of giveaways can only be made when using the giveaway builder

There are two ways to create a giveaway:

*the "quick" command will start a Traditional Giveaway

The Role-Based Extra Entries option is only available on traditional giveaways.

This option allows users with a specified role to receive more entries into the giveaway.

Clicking the 📊 will prompt the following:

What is the role you wish to add an entry boost for?

Respond to this message with the role name or ID of the role you wish to add extra entries for.

How many extra entries do you want "role" to get?

Respond to this message with how many extra-entries you wish the role to receive.

And that's all there is to it! When it comes time to drawing, extra entries will be accounted for and the giveaway will be drawn.

Note: If you add extra-entries for two roles and an entered user has both roles, the role with the highest extra-entries is the one that will be used.

Ex: 10 extra entries for "Gold" and 20 extra entries for "Diamond". User has both "Gold" and "Diamond" role. They will receive 20 extra entries.

As of December 28th, 2019, both First Come, First Serve and Limited Entries methods have been vote locked! To gain access to those two methods you must vote for Giveaway Bot on .

The Giveaway Builder is a reaction-based panel which makes creating a giveaway as easy as clicking a few buttons.

As mentioned on Types of Giveaways, there are three types of giveaways - all three of which you can create using the giveaway builder.

To start the giveaway builder simply say:

Usage: gcreate <1 | 2 | 3>

Examples: 
gcreate 1
gcreate 2

Each number corresponds with a different type of giveaway, as listed below: - "1": Traditional Giveaway - "2": First Come, First Serve - "3": Limited Entries

Once you run the command, the bot will begin constructing the builder by reacting with all the option-emojis then finally editing with the panel.

Each one of the values above is self explanatory except for the Role-based Extra Entries option.
